Studying
What is included for free?
All 14 subject areas and every active question are free, in Simple study mode, along with one complete 50-question mock examination and progress tracking for the material you have attempted. No lesson is locked behind a purchase.
What does TC PSTAR Pro add?
TC PSTAR Pro — listed on the App Store as Lifetime Access — unlocks the explanation and quoted regulation behind each answer, Adaptive practice mode, unlimited mock examinations and the complete readiness report. It is a one-time, non-consumable purchase: there is no subscription and no recurring charge.
How does Adaptive practice decide what to show?
Adaptive practice schedules each question from your accuracy, your response time and how well the material is holding. Questions you miss return sooner and questions you know space out. A lesson finishes only once repeated recall is holding, not after a single lucky pass.
How does the mock examination work?
A mock examination follows the real format: 50 questions, a 90-minute countdown, a question navigator and flagging, with automatic submission when time expires. Afterwards you can review the whole paper question by question. The free version includes one attempt, marked used when Begin mock examination is confirmed; Pro provides unlimited attempts.
Purchases
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the purchase sheet from any locked feature, or go to Sources › Manage purchase, and choose Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account that made or shares the purchase.
The app opened on a purchase screen. Do I have to buy?
No. Tap Continue free in the top right to enter the app. Nothing is gated behind that screen.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to Sources › Manage purchase, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Advertising
Will ads interrupt my study?
No. The app has exactly one advertising placement: an optional rewarded ad you may choose to watch to earn credits that open individual explanations. It is reached only by tapping a button that names the reward. No ad is ever shown during study, between questions, or during a mock examination. Ads are requested non-personalized, and the app never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.
How do I change my ad privacy choice?
Where local law requires a consent choice, an Ad privacy choices entry appears in Sources. You can change your choice there at any time. Purchasing TC PSTAR Pro opens every explanation, so there is never a reason to watch an ad.
Progress and data
Where is my progress stored?
Study history, answers, timings and mock results are stored locally on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync, and nothing is transmitted to the developer. Deleting the app may remove this data.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Progress, scroll to the bottom and select Reset all progress. This removes answers, sessions and exam attempts, but does not remove a TC PSTAR Pro purchase.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Study sessions and mock examinations work fully offline. A connection is needed only to verify a purchase, load an optional ad, or open an external reference link.
Sources
Where do the questions and references come from?
The question bank is based on Transport Canada publication TP 11919E, reproduced with attribution. The in-app Sources screen lists the guide, answer key, regulations and supporting references. The official guide:
tc.canada.ca — Student Pilot Permit or Private Pilot Licence … Aviation Regulations (TP 11919)
I think an answer or explanation is wrong.
Please email us the lesson and question number and what you believe the correct answer is. Every explanation is checked against the source document, and corrections ship in the next question-bank update.
